Berhel founders

About

Berhel is a Finnish jewellery studio founded in 2025 by Jaakko Ranne and Tomas Ajamo, longtime friends who first met in Helsinki as teenagers. Built on years of shared experience in design and goldsmithing, Berhel was born from a desire to work independently—combining uncompromising artistic vision with the creation of lasting pieces through thoughtful craftsmanship.

Each piece is designed and made in Finland in small batches from recycled precious metals sourced through trusted local partners. Every step of the process — from 3D modelling to casting, polishing, and stone setting — happens close to the founders’ hands. This ensures full transparency and a traceable, human approach to production.

Berhel’s jewellery is unisex by design, crafted for those who value authenticity, precision, and quality. The focus is on creating enduring forms that become part of daily life — personal objects shaped by use and memory.

At Berhel, handcrafted means honesty. We create lasting pieces with a commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship and respect for the natural origin of our materials.

Our Commitment to Ethical and Recycled Materials

At Berhel, every jewelry is crafted using sustainably sourced, recycled precious metals and gemstones. We commit to more environment friendly model by using existing, recycled silver and gold. This choice allows us to drastically reduce the environmental impact typically associated with mining, while still delivering the premium quality our designs demand.

This focus on recycled silver and gold is our central value: creating enduring objects with lasting value that honor the materials and the planet.
